How to Shutdown Computer with Shortcut Key?
STEP-1: To Create a shortcut, Right click on Desktop screen > Click on the New then Shortcut option.
STEP-2: Following screen will appear. Enter the following path in 'Type the location of the item' text box. You have one more option to 'Browse' shutdown.exe from the given path and add -s -t 00 at the end of the path.
c:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00
Click on 'Next' button to continue.
STEP-3: Now choose a shortcut name and type a name for this shortcut text box, I have chosen shutdown to make it easily remember.
Your shortcut has been created. Now you have to assign a shortcut key to your shortcut. Right click on your shortcut and click on Properties.
STEP-4: Here you will see None in Shortcut key option. It means there is no shortcut key assigned to this shortcut.
STEP-5: Click on Shortcut key text box and choose a shortcut key by pressing the key combination on your keyboard. I have pressed Ctrl + Alt + S to execute this shortcut. Click Apply then OK.
