How to Find WiFi Password on Windows 7,8 & 10?
In order to find the WiFi password on your Windows machine, you need to make sure that you are already connected to the WiFi network or have previously connected to the WiFi network.
Method-1: Find WiFi Password through Open Network and Sharing Center
Step-1: Right-click on 'WiFi' icon in the system tray and choose 'Open Network and Sharing Center' as shown in below snapshot.
Step-2: Here you can see the basic network information and set up connections. My active WiFi connection is 'AndroidAP'. Click on Wi-Fi (AndroidAP) network connections to open the Wireless Properties.
Step-3: Now open the 'Wireless Properties' to check the saved Wi-Fi password.
Step-4: Open 'Security' tab and check 'Show characters' option. You will see WiFi password in 'Network Security Key' text field. This option can be used when WiFi is connected with your computer. If you want to see the WiFi passwords for the previously connected WiFi networks, below method will help you.
Method-2: Find WiFi Password through netsh (CMD)
Step-1: Go to Start > RUN > Type CMD and hit enter to open command prompt. You have to enter following command to know how many profiles listed under user profiles.
C:\>netsh wlan show profiles
Here you will see all the saved profiles under user profiles. In my case I have only one user profile i.e. AndroidAP.
Step-2: Now issue following command to get the password of saved profiles.
C:\>netsh wlan show profile name=AndroidAP key=clear
Do not forget to change my profile AndroidAP to your system's saved WiFi profile. When you issue this command, you will get so much information but you have to search only for Key Content under Security Settings.
