How to Hide Formula in Excel 2007, 2010 & 2013
This tutorial will explain you how to hide formula in Excel 2007, 2010 & 2013 (Step by Step instructions with captured snapshot).
Steps for hiding formula in 2007, 2010 & 2013 are same, so we have taken the example of Microsoft Excel 2007.
Open Microsoft Excel > Type any formula as shown in below snapshot.
To hide formulas, first you need to unlock all of the cells on your Excel sheet. You can do this by selecting all of the rows and columns in your sheet. Right click on selected rows and columns then choose Format Cells option from the popup menu.
Once you click on Format Cells option following popup window will appear, Now uncheck Locked option under protection tab, click on OK button.
Next, select the cells that you want to hide formulas for. Right click and then select Format Cells from the popup menu.
Now check Hidden option under protection tab, click on OK button.
Now to hide the formulas for selected cells, you must also protect the worksheet. To do this, select Review tab in the toolbar and click on Protect Sheet button. A popup windows of Password will appear, Enter password & confirm password.
By this way you can hide formulas in Excel 2007. All the above steps will be same in all other versions of Microsoft Excel 2010 & 2013. You can see the below snapshot to verify that the formula is hidden for the selected cells.
