How to Configure Gmail in Outlook 2007 – Step by Step Guide
This tutorial will help you to configure your Gmail account in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. To get email from Gmail account to outlook, you need to enable POP settings in your Gmail Account.
How to Configure Gmail in Outlook 2007?
Step-1: First Enable POP settings in your Gmail Account. Open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
Step-2: Go to Tools Menu and Select Account Settings.
Step-3: Under Account Settings, choose E-mail tab and click on new option.
Step-4: Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP to connect to an e-mail account at your Internet service provider (ISP).
Step-5: Now check on Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
Step-6: Now select Internet E-mail and click on Next button.
Step-7: Enter User information, Server Information and Logon Information as shown in below snapshot.
Click on More Settings > Go to Outgoing Server and check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Under Advanced tab, set the Incoming Server & Outgoing Server as described below.
- Incoming Server: 995
- Check the box for "This server requires an encrypted connection"
- Outgoing Server (SMTP): 587
- Change the type of encrypted connection to Auto, or use TLS if you have problems.
After Outlook has successfully configured the e-mail server settings will be validated as shown in below snapshot.
